• Co-developed and co-ran Eriswell’s StockWatch product, which gained positive feedback from a high-calibre client list.• Produced research reports detailing a company’s investment case, analysing industry and company key drivers and providing a detailed intrinsic valuation.• Used graphics to illustrate the progression and force of key drivers on the stock price and mind maps to sharpen the thought process and to increase clarity and efficiency.

• Co-developed and co-ran Fimat’s Equity Thoughts product.• The cornerstone of my approach was to analyse a company’s stock-price behaviour in relation to its marginal news flow and defined benchmarks. This enabled me to identify themes which had begun to affect stock prices but weren’t yet widely known or well-understood by the broader market.• European stock and sector investment ideas and an analysis of underlying market themes, were distilled into investment opportunities.

May 2002 – July 2005: I co-ran the Falcon European Equity Long/Short Fund • Achieved absolute returns with a low correlation to equity market indices, using a mixture of long/short and relative value trading strategies. • The focus was largely on individual companies with investments based on information obtained from direct company meetings, analysts and our own research. Feb 20000 – Apr 2002: I ran GIB’s Risk Arbitrage and Relative Value trading books• Achieved absolute returns with a low correlation to equity market indices. • Risk arbitrage trades were evaluated from both a qualitative and a quantitative perspective, in order to estimate the return, break risk and the probability of the deal going through. • The relative value trading philosophy was to identify short to medium term anomalies and to efficiently exploit the inherent value. Dec 1998 – Jan 2000: I was part of Gulf’s five-strong proprietary trading group • Successfully employed a discretionary trading strategy that profited from directional movement and was enhanced by selective use of options. • Fundamental analysis and trend following techniques were used to construct a portfolio of trades.

• Part of ANZ's five-strong G24 proprietary trading group and co-ran the over-the-counter options books.• Profitably exploited relative value opportunities in fixed income and directional fixed income and FX trades. • Relative value trading strategies included: shape of the yield curve, swap spreads, options and volatility trades. Macro trades included: outright, forwards, cross market and FX trades.

• Junior member of Bank of Ireland's proprietary trading group.• Profitably employed a variety of fixed income trading strategies: yield curve, volatility, cross market and outright trades and successfully traded some spot FX and exotic FX options.
