Project Manager

Chessington

As Project Manager I oversee all game related projects within the company, from the initial ideas, some of which have come from game jams that I host, to games in development, product launches and project debriefs. This involves keeping track of development schedules, tasks, and communicating changes and updates to R&D, design, production, sales and senior stakeholders. During the development process location testing, analysis, and internal reviews are all managed by me. This allows me to have a very detailed understanding of how projects are progressing as well as potential risks on the horizon. Post project completion I collaborate with our marketing team that launches these games as well as manage and mentor a team of young talented designers.KEY ACHIEVEMENTS• The number of locally and third party developed games Sega released has doubled since I’ve taken on the role of Project Manager.• Project managed and launched the #1 selling games Power Roll and VR Agent in 2019 and 2021 respectively.• Supported and advised on the approvals for a USA nationwide Dave & Buster's TV campaign for Mario & Sonic at the Olympics and Luigi’s Mansion which were both sold into all of their 80+ locations.• Have worked closely with Hasbro, Paramount, the IOC and Sonic Team to ensure our licensed games meet the high standards their IP’s require.• Created a milestone checklist database which improved game feature sets and reduced common mistakes made in development.• Collaborated with our HR team to create and curate the popular staff portal ‘Sega Zone’ using SharePoint.• Established and hosted company-wide Game Jams to identify new ideas for the future, four of which have been brought to market.• Led the design team in the creation of a series of show & product videos. Doing this in-house saved Sega £1000s per video.
