I orchestrated all operational and procurement aspects of this global business with oversight for teams in the UK, Denmark, Singapore, USA, and the Philippines. I was accountable for P&L performance, vessel/vendor relationships, maintenance of SLA’s, vendor governance, CSR, and policy development. I used a continuous improvement mindset to ensure outstanding levels of performance in line with best practice. Achievements include: * Played a key role in achieving stability and growth following several rounds of M&A activity having originally joined the company following its purchase by a Private Equity group in 2012. * Achieved significant increased EBITDA within three years of joining the business.* Facilitated the eventual sale of the business to Wrist Ship Supply in 2016 at 4.5x the original purchase price having added value throughout the organisation and delivered a highly efficient business model. * Conceptualised and launched numerous programmes with a remit to enhance productivity, quality, employee engagement, and regulatory compliance. These programmes included a major Supplier Relationship Management strategy and an external vendor food safety audit framework (700+ global vendors).* Contributed to the merger of Garrets International and Sea Star Catering (following acquisition by Wrist) including the creation of a five-year business strategy. * Ensured that cutting-edge technology solutions (such as ERP systems and business process outsourcing) were rolled out to enhance productivity and support a wide range of decision-making, reporting, and analysis workstreams.* Managed team building, recruitment, and onboarding including future resource planning.* Successfully opened a new office and operations team in Manila, Philippines.* Introduced Lean Six Sigma methodology across 120 staff members who all received the white belt certification and 15 employees are now yellow belt certified.

Various procurement roles at a Country, Regional and Global level. In the last years at Compass Group I directed a cross-functional team of industry specialists across numerous jurisdictions to develop and execute a complex operating strategy across key retail categories such as cold beverages, confectionary, and snacks. I introduced a programme of efficiency and productivity in 50 countries leading to significant cost savings. Some of my core contributions included the following: * Continually enhanced performance year-over-year across major product categories with global sales revenue of over £2.5B and a product spend in excess of £1B. * Designed and rolled out a procurement and retail management framework to support the end goals of each category strategy while ensuring long-term viability in a highly competitive international marketplace.* Streamlined and improved supplier relationship management protocols to reduce risk factors while realising supply chain efficiencies and maximising the firm’s position during the procurement process. * Delivered comprehensive training and development initiatives for global Category Managers to increase and retain critical knowledge and expertise within the management hierarchy. * Oversaw the negotiation and drafting of contractual agreements within the category to mitigate risk. * Successfully developed the global category strategies for cold beverages, confectionary, and snacks. * Received Group Executive Board sign-off following intensive review and analysis. * Presided over the effective turnaround of the underperforming cold beverage category from a 1% decline to growth over 5% in 2011 and 8% in 2012.* Delivered operating efficiencies across procurement and retail category management resulting in an incremental increase in net profits of over £100M.
