The Audit Intermediate has professional knowledge and experience in applying audit methodology in practice and has appropriate knowledge and professional scepticism to conclude on audit procedures and findings with the direction of the Audit Manager. Manages own work, has excellent project management skills to supervise more junior team members. Works collaboratively to develop own skills and problem solve.- Can deliver audit assignments as in-charge ensuring the design and implementation of the audit approach meets the engagement objectives and scope- Takes ownership for own work and ensures audit team is working effectively, efficiently (to budget) and is not losing focus- Supports the Audit Senior to organise logistics with clients-Effectively prioritises allocated work and supports junior members of the engagement team to meet engagement objectives-Can identify risks and design steps to address the risk. In addition, an intermediate ensures the junior team members understand the risks and associated tests to mitigate these risks-Analyses issues by exploring all alternative avenues before formulating a solution and draws accurate conclusions from the information available-Preparing final draft reports for clients for manager review including audit report, management representation letter and other client deliverables as required by the scope of work-Ensures that audit assignments are completed in a timely manner; and comply with statutory obligations
