I work in a corporate office supporting three companies in the Tevis family: Tevis Energy, Inc, Tevis Propane, LLC, and Modern Comfort Systems, Inc. We have about 250 employees who work for us delivering quality residential home heating oil and propane; installing or servicing HVAC systems; or installing underground propane tanks or propane appliances. Since 1932 it has been a family-owned, local company with a mission to offer valuable service and products to our customers, as well as giving back to the community in which we live.As the Human Resource and Payroll Manager I work towards offering competent, efficient, timely and friendly service to our internal customers: our employees. I focus on recruitment and retention efforts; payroll software and time management system administration; various areas of payroll, including keying, verifying or booking payroll; benefits selection, education and administration; investment planning administration; policy review and creation; employee relations; safety coordination and claims management and more.

Indemnity Insurance Corporation (formerly The Agency, LLC) offered insurance and risk control management, catering to the live entertainment and night club industries. For most of my time there I was focused on front desk, administrative duties, making sure visitors or anyone calling in had a great first impression of the company. At times I would work on special projects: working to fill new databases accurately, mail merges for large marketing projects, scheduling business travel for executives, taking on some claim administration responsibilities, etc.
