The Next Generation Engineering program is an elite rotational development program with an emphasis on business designed to maximize its member’s exposure and experience both to National Oilwell Varco and the upstream oil and gas business. The program involved four 3-month rotations in different areas of the company, extensive networking opportunities, and industry training. Highlights include:Q3 2014-Sustaining Engineering Top Drives, Rig Systems & Aftermarket, Houston, TX•Redesigned parts and created drawings for a kit that improved operation of machinery and helped customers with installation and implementationQ4 2014-Environmental Engineering, Corporate HSE, Alberta, Canada•Analyzed wastewater treatment system by conducting experiments and creating plans for improvement on system to cut operational costs.Q1-Q2 2015-Sustaining Engineering: Artificial Lift Solutions, Process Flow & Technologies, Houston, TX•Assisted sustaining engineering of Hydraulic Powered Rod Pump Systems product line.•Created kits, edited manuals, completed FMEA studies, and improved field installations by creating commissioning documentation.

Organized bi-weekly student meetings for the second largest ASME student section in the world. Reached out to companies to present to students at every meeting about engineering opportunities within their company. Some companies worked with include Southern Company, Exxon, Nissan, Georgia Pacific, Airbus, BMW, and Eaton.

Taught curriculum to and mentored 10 freshmen students weekly during 2 fall semesters through the Honors College at The University of Alabama.

Assisted 60+ underclassmen students acclimate to the University and provided educational programming and counseling for young residents.

Created tutorials and presentations for 3D printers and scanners and assisted research professor in managing the research website.
