Managed team of commercial and M&A attorneys providing legal support for TotalEnergies’ U.S. downstream (chemicals, refining, and biofuels) transactions, acquisitions and divestitures, and joint ventures.

Head of litigation for Total's U.S. operations. Managed litigation and disputes, counseled on employment and labor union issues, directed internal and governmental investigations, and advised on bankruptcy and antitrust matters. From January 2016 - May 2018, focused on Total's U.S. downstream operations as Assistant General Counsel - Litigation and Labor & Employment for U.S. Refining & Chemicals.

Served as primary counsel for three of Total Petrochemicals & Refining USA, Inc.'s business groups: Polymers, Supply Chain / Transportation, and Human Resources. Handled all legal issues arising out of these business groups, from general contract issues and day-to-day legal advice to capital projects, long-term sales and logistics contracts, as well as claims, intellectual property, finance/credit, and compliance matters.

Represented clients in a wide range of civil litigation, investigations, and disputes, including complex commercial and contract disputes, professional liability litigation, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and corporate investigations, products liability and personal injury defense, and energy litigation. Gained significant trial experience, including several jury trials to verdict. Served on firm summer employment committee and pro bono committee.
