I grew up in a small town where life moved a little slower, and opportunities were limited. My first job was at McDonald's, where I quickly learned the value of hard work, discipline, and customer service. It wasn’t glamorous, but it taught me some of the most important lessons I carry with me today: showing up, giving my best, and never cutting corners. That work ethic has been the foundation of my career ever since.Today, I’m a double major in Public Relations and History at Penn State University, where I combine my passion for storytelling with my drive to make an impact. I’ve taken on internships and leadership roles that have shaped me into a strategic communicator and creative problem solver. One of the most defining experiences of my journey was interning at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, where I had the privilege of contributing to media relations, writing stories, and amplifying life-saving research. I also write for their Progress Magazine, with one of my pieces published, further fueling my passion for storytelling with purpose.In addition to my academic pursuits, I work as a Strategic Communications Intern for the Schreyer Honors College, where I create content tailored to the college’s students and community. I design social media posts, manage photography projects, and analyze data to optimize our outreach. This role has deepened my understanding of branding, engagement, and the power of data-driven decision-making in communications. As a Scholar Assistant at Schreyer, I also organize and lead events that bring students together, fostering connections and creating spaces for growth and collaboration. These experiences have taught me the importance of clear, impactful communication and the ability to engage audiences both creatively and strategically.Along the way, I’ve built my own freelance photography business, serving over 100 clients in under a year. From capturing senior portraits to photographing events, my work combines creativity with a deep commitment to delivering the best results.My journey has been one of learning, growth, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
