As associate director of partnerships, I lead Climate Nexus' work with partner organizations working on climate change from the perspective of public health, faith, national security, environmental justice, labor, youth and parents. Working out of the Climate Nexus office in Washington, D.C. I also provide these partners strategic media guidance and support to amplify the work they are doing to reach and engage distinct groups on climate change and clean energy. In 2017 I provided high-level communications strategy support for the March for Science and the Peoples Climate Movement's March for Climate, Jobs and Justice, as the lead liaison between these two marches and the Climate Nexus team.

Develop and execute media strategy around climate change current events and ongoing narratives for international, national and local earned media. Produce and oversee creation of original materials (for ex. press releases, science backgrounders, policy summaries) for press and stakeholder communities. Coordinate and execute high-value international media strategy (IPCC Fifth Assessment Report and UNFCCC conferences) with multiple organizational partners. Assist in messaging development and creative campaigns.

I write strategic and engaging press releases, fact sheets, and other media materials for Climate Nexus and our partners' projects. I also develop and maintain strong relationships on behalf of the organization with journalists and media organizations. I also monitor and record information related to the impact Climate Nexus makes in traditional and online media.

• Planned and coordinated scheduling and developed weekly schedules for 5 person event staff• Conducted educational outreach on the benefits of compact fluorescent light bulbs at retail locations and events with small events staff leading to the sale of over 32, 263 CFL bulbs over two months

• Conducted needs assessment to identify TIDE’s sea turtle conservation and research needs• Prepared in-depth feasibility study on the prospect of developing a sea turtle research and monitoring program for paying volunteers• Planned and managed educational sea turtle day camp for children in the community
