In Saint Mary's College's Writing and Tutoring Center, writing tutors provide one-on-one feedback to fellow students from across disciplines, classes, and writing proficiency levels to improve their writing styles, mechanics, and grammar to encourage and develop academic confidence. In addition, tutors collaborate on a weekly basis to discuss tutoring theory in order to provide the best possible guidance for students.

The Dialogue and Democracy Summer Institute, hosted by Saint Mary's College, was the first ever week-long, residential program for high school students. Participants were able to build skills for dialogue across difference and for participation in their own local communities. As a program mentor, I facilitated small group discussions for a group of five participants, organized fun activities for everyone to partake in, and fostered community among the participants. I was one of five other mentors, and in preparation for the Summer Institute in July, we participated in a week of training and team building activities in May.

The Dialogue Project Leadership Program aims to empower student leaders to promote productive dialogue throughout the Saint Mary’s campus community. As a Leadership Program Fellow, I will build on what I have learned in the course, Dialogue and Civil Discourse, and actively contribute to building a campus climate where community members with a variety of backgrounds, beliefs and experiences learn from each other and feel valued and included. I will help plan and facilitate several events throughout the 2021-2022 school year to help promote productive dialogue on campus.

I worked in the kitchen, took customer orders and delivered food, and served behind the bar. I also managed scheduled events and parties.

Assisted former USA Olympic softball player, Trent Rubley, in instructing middle school, high school, and college softball players during private lessons.
