I have edited and written remotely with teams from across time zones. My articles have appeared in numerous online and print publications. Having worked with diverse (often disadvantaged) populations and having ventured through East Africa and Europe, my understanding of multiculturalism comes through firsthand experience. I've also traveled extensively in Latin America, and I speak Spanish. I taught English as a Second Language in Ecuador, San Diego, and online. In addition, I studied nonprofit management and worked and volunteered for years at international organizations. My background includes program management, content management, public relations, community outreach, business development, facilitating collaborations from various sectors, and strategic development. I recruited and mentored multicultural youth and adult volunteers/staff and did plenty of event planning. After being a vegetarian for years, I started a plant-based diet in 1991 and am passionate about personal and planetary health.
