Paige Popp is a Certified Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM) with over 40 years of Patient Access experience and more than 30 years in progressive leadership roles. She is honored to have recently joined the Pinnacle Healthcare Advisors team as a director. Prior to this, Paige served as a senior manager in Healthcare Consulting with BDO USA Management Advisory Services for three years. Before BDO, she was the System Director of Patient Access at Tower Health, overseeing ED registration, outpatient registration, inpatient admissions, and financial clearance across seven hospitals. In this role, she had direct reporting responsibility for over 200 Patient Access staff and matrix reporting responsibility for an additional 225 hospital Patient Access staff. Paige is Epic certified in Hospital Registration Revenue Cycle Readiness and has served on the NAHAM Industry Standards Committee for several years.Paige previously served as the Product Director for Experian Health's scheduling solution. Prior to this role, she was the Assistant Director of Patient Access Operations at Universal Health Services in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. In this position, she managed the corporate Patient Access team and directed the strategic planning and development of Patient Access System (PAS) operations for 24 acute care hospitals. During her seven years with UHS, Paige's responsibilities included overseeing all aspects of Patient Access operations. Additionally, she chaired the Cerner Scheduling Enterprise Design Team for all UHS acute care facilities and managed the implementation of the Cerner scheduling application across Patient Access and hospital departments.Prior to UHS, Paige directed the patient access operations for Mary Washington Healthcare, a 400+ bed hospital located in Fredericksburg, VA with more than 100,000 Emergency Department visits per year. In this role, she implemented centralized outpatient scheduling, decreased staff turnover, and reduced Patient Access-related denials.Paige holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Strayer University and a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Cabrini University. In addition to being a Certified Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM), she is Epic certified in Revenue Cycle Patient Access Readiness. Paige also holds certificates from Cornell University in Healthcare Executive Leadership and from Mary Washington University in Organizational Leadership.
