Served as the Chief Operating and then Chief Academic Officer for education management company operating a network of 31 public charter schools in 4 regions (20k students, ~2,500 employees). Responsible for day-to-day operational support, including enrollment, student data systems, curriculum, and talent acquisition teams. Communicated with internal and external stakeholders, delivered board presentations, monitored metrics and drove decision making around these results. Worked cross-functionally to obtain authorizer approval for new school offering (with perfect authorizer score), and worked closely with school finance, compliance, marketing and growth teams to plan and execute planned new market entries. Led team of 4 recruiters, in collaboration with 60+ school leaders, to fill 450+ expert teacher openings during a single recruiting cycle. Restructured and relaunched leadership development program to increase retention of school leaders and to ensure fidelity to organizational philosophy.During COVID-19, led implementation of distance learning from initial school shutdown in March 2020 to remote synchronous learning (4-day pivot), including overseeing teacher and leader training as well as IT architecture changes to sustain continued remote operations. Managed adoption of proprietary LMS in collaboration with European software developers on a compressed schedule (~1 week).

Working in a newly built school, helped set up operating procedures and compliance, and organized and supervised activities that supported students inside and outside the classroom.

Organized, launched and supervised summer study abroad program in Italy (2010/2011). Led faculty recruiting, student admissions, and organized academic and extracurricular activities for American and Italian undergraduates. Obtained international grants for program funding and provided supervision, guidance, and emergency response for 40 students living and studying in Northern Italy for the summer.

One-year paid fellowship to conduct research at the Center for Mind/Brain Sciences in Trento, Italy. Research examined the neural organization of language and motor processing.
