Having completed my secondary education in Dubai and MBChB at Keele University, I am currently completing my Foundation Training in the East Midlands. By the end of the two years, I would have completed rotations in General Surgery, Acute Internal Medicine, Anaesthetics, Psychiatry, Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Clinical Oncology. After completing my Foundation Training I plan to combine specialist training (which may or may not be in the UK) and travel abroad. In particular I have an interest in practicing in the following fields: expedition, mountaineering/remote, humanitarian, trauma and pre-hospital medicine. I intend to use the skills I acquire to work in resource-deprived settings with volunteer and humanitarian organisations in developing countries, to help those in areas afflicted with political conflict, poverty or natural disaster.
