As a Senior Administrative Assistant at the Foundation Fighting Blindness, I support several executives in their daily tasks, such as scheduling, expense reimbursement, contract tracking, and project support. I also interact with patients and encourage them to join our My Retina Tracker Registry, a platform that connects them with clinical trials and research opportunities.One of my proudest achievements was assisting in the organization of a Patient-Focused Drug Development meeting for X-Linked Retinitis Pigmentosa in June of 2022, where we gathered valuable insights from patients, caregivers, and experts on the challenges and needs of this rare disease community. I earned my Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification in July of 2021, demonstrating my skills and knowledge in project management best practices and processes.I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a B.S. in Geology and a minor in Biology. I have a strong interest and background in paleontology, which I pursued through two Directed Independent Studies and an internship at the Calvert Marine Museum, where I gained experience in fossil collection, preparation, and curation. I also presented my research on vertebrate paleontology at the 2018 Southeastern GSA Conference. In addition to paleontology, I am passionate about environmental conservation and enjoy scuba diving and hiking.
