CurrentZabbix stands as a widely acclaimed open-source monitoring solution, boasting thousands of weekly downloads. In my role as an IT Project Manager I contributed to the release of versions ranging from 4.0 LTS to 7.0. Effectively managing the development of up to 30 new Zabbix roadmap features using a custom project planning tool and the Atlassian technology stack. I successfully completed over 680 projects.The open-source business model maintains a delicate balance in release scope to cater to the needs of sponsors, partners, the community, and critical support issues.We organized multiple teams according to the principles of Large Scale Scrum (https://less.works/) and collectively embraced core practices from eXtreme programming (http://www.extremeprogramming.org/). This transformation facilitated a seamless expansion of our development department, growing from approximately 10 engineers to more than 45 in just five years.I spearheaded a proposal to expand Zabbix by integrating frontend modules that would empower users to create custom UI forms and logic. Subsequently, we introduced pivotal components such as the Zabbix agent2 in Golang, along with plugins for custom metrics and JavaScript custom functions. These innovations laid the foundation for a dynamic new business focus centered on tailored integrations, ultimately culminating in the establishment of the Zabbix contributors program.I completed the Zabbix documentation migration project, moving it from DocuWiki to Markdown and Pontoon. This initiative has enabled the Zabbix community to actively participate in improving documentation and providing translations.I organized the Zabbix security workflow and seamlessly integrated it into MITRE, enhancing our security measures and aligning with industry standards.Major Trainings:- Completed the Head of Department Program offered by Stratoplan (https://www.linkedin.com/company/stratoplan-school/).- Completed Zabbix Certified Specialist certification.
