I am a Co founder and Principal Mining Engineer at Surmine Consulting, a leading mining consulting organization offering strategic investment decision support in mining with robust geological modeling, optimized mine design, and drill-down financial analysis. With 33+ years of professional experience in the coal mining and thermal power generation industry, I have a proven track record of delivering successful greenfield coal mining projects, acquiring revenue and forest land, sourcing coal cost-effectively, and evaluating multiple coal assets for strategic acquisition.I hold an MBA in Finance and a Manager's First Class Certificate of Competency under the Mines Act 1952. Apart from the operation of mines, I am proficient in conducting scoping, pre-feasibility, and feasibility studies for mining projects using multiple geological and mine planning software, GIS software, and detailed financial modeling. I am also an accredited Project Coordinator under the QCI - NABET scheme for MPPA and a Member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM) who can prepare and audit Mining Plans and Feasibility Reports under the relevant Guidelines and Codes. As a co-founder, I am responsible for identifying, onboarding, training, mentoring, and retaining the best talents of geology, mining, and remote sensing.
