Pallavi is an aspiring Activist, Autism Intervention Specialist and Counselor working towards hand-holding Children with Special Needs and their parents; educating and working with them, conducting workshops, training and creating awareness on the subject.She is a Management Graduate with Specialization in Marketing and Finance. In her earlier ‘Avtaar’ she was a hardcore professional handling Key Accounts in North India for a leading Mumbai based Fintech, Financial Technologies Ltd. On a sabbatical for the birth of her two children, she realised that destiny had some challenges in store for her. Her first born was a child with Special Needs and she had to re-work her life commitments to take into consideration the changed circumstances. With renewed zeal she completed a 2-year Diploma in Special Education on ‘Autism Spectrum Disorder’ from Action for Autism, Jasola, New Delhi and joined as a Special Needs Educator ASD, Step by Step School, Delhi. This was her initiation into Conducting skill-based assessments, Designing and conducting individual and Group programs, provide home management modules and Conduct parent training and counselling.She completed her MA in Counselling Psychology and underwent numerous Professional Trainings to further strengthen and upskill her credentials for her new Avtaar. Her motherly instinct with her perseverance is largely responsible for her choice of vocation as she decided to continue her efforts in the field by becoming the Founding Member of Fortune Foundation for Special Needs in 2018. She has attended workshops PEERS @ SOCIAL SKILLS TRANING for TEENS with AUTISM, Dance & Movement Therapy by Joanne Lara, Solutions for success in school, home and the community by Dr Brenda Smith Myles, Demystifying Autism in Adulthood 5 hrs. training by Dr. Stephen Shore and Joanne Lara, Workshop on Phonological Awareness, Reading and Spelling by Orchids Foundation and Specialized course in Learning Disability and ADHD.In addition, she has been trained in Brain Gym 101, Brain Gym Switched on learning Program and Building Block activities of Movement based Learning for working with individuals for special needs.
