Administrative Duties:• Outstanding service to more than 100 patients every day on arrival, registering and validating their health cards.• Booking, cancellation and reminders of appointments, answering and triaging phone calls, inquiries, and voicemails.• Sending and receiving referrals, prescriptions, consult notes, invoices, lab requisitions and other relevant documents. • Conveying patients’ information, results and ordering treatment, and medication as per the physician’s orders.• Effective communication through phones, messages, letters, and emails to and from patients and other doctors’ offices.• Charting, billing, documenting forms for patients and forwarding patients records as and when needed.• Faxing, Scanning, Printing, Downloading and Uploading of patient’s documents and other data in the clinic.• Processing and Billing payments (OHIP, UHIP, Blue Cross, Private insurance) as well as patient requisitions.• Managing Physicians’ schedules and working with a team of 4+ physicians every day.• Maintaining and stocking office and medical supplies, following proper clinic opening and closing protocols. Patient Care/Backroom Duties:• Effectively updating patient’s history into the EMR with 100% accuracy and maintaining confidentiality.• Assisting and Chaperoning the Physician with small procedures such as physical and vaginal exams, dressings, Pap smear, IUD, and biopsies, pre-operative screening, Driver’s physicals.• Handling samples and patient specimens, making and printing requisitions for a well-rounded diagnostic and treatment strategy.• Communicating with the staff, colleagues, and patients to cultivate a healthy, vibrant working environment.• Counselling and supporting patients empathetically for an overall well-rounded visit to the clinic.• Proactively dealing with stressful situations and at the same time adhering to regulations.• Adhering to clinic policies and procedures ethically.

IN THE WARD:Admission and treatment of new patientsMonitoring and follow up of already admitted cases.Managing the wards and arranging the roster for medical and non medical staff Assisting In surgeries.Conducting deliveries and handling pre and post natal care.Prescribing radiological and pathological investigations relevant to each patient.IN THE OUTPATIENT DEPARTMENT:Treatment and follow up of patients daily (old and new). Referring for specialist care if needed.IN THE CASUALTY:Managing and treatment of accident and emergency cases.Attending to complaints of already admitted patients beyond the regular duty hours of Concerned doctors.To grant sick and fit certification to permanent railway employees.Organise and carry out healthcare camps for employees and their families.Holding CME.Lecturing and teaching junior doctors.Attending to post operative cases.Working at local dispensaries under the NWR in the district, managing their staff and supplies.Attending train calls for sick passengers on rotational basis.
