I've spent the last 9 years leading the Marketing function at redBus. In my career spanning two decades across India(mostly) & Asia/Pacific, have worked with category defining brands like Nike, ING and redBus in leadership & entrepreneurial roles across marketing, digital & brand strategy entrusted with driving brand building, demand generation & e-business activities.Over the years, I have also had the good fortune of meeting some very smart people who have contributed in shaping my career and influenced my thinking. And have helped me come to the conclusion that Marketing is truly an Art & a Science and perhaps the only discipline that can boast of being one - and the mastery of which is the lifelong effort of using both the left & the right sides of the brain with equal ease. Career:In 2014, I completed a senior executive MBA program(focused on Entrepreneurship) at MIT Sloan and went on to join redBus in Bangalore as a part of its Leadership Team. At redBus, have been responsible for brand building, market building & demand generation activities across India & South East Asia and for its new LOBs - rYde & redRail. Before redBus, I was involved in launching New York based chiefofstaff.com LLC as its co-founder. Spent half a decade at the ING Group in Hong Kong and India. As the Regional Manager for E-Business ING Asia/Pacific, spearheaded ING's online marketing & E-Business activities in the region. As the lead for online marketing activities for ING Life India, my responsibilities included driving online sales, lead generation, online advertising, digital branding etc. In 2005, won a global entrepreneurship award at ING, receiving Euro 20000 as prize money to roll out a unique blog based lead generation platform for advisors in India which was later rolled out across other countries, incl China.I started my career with Nike responsible for its brand, online marketing & ecommerce activities in India.Education:I am a Mathematics graduate from St Stephens College, Delhi and a postgraduate MBA in Marketing Communications from Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad (Batch of 2000). I completed the one year Executive Program in General Management at Massachusetts Institute of Technology - Sloan School of Management in 2014.
