Helped create marketing solutions to best display clients' products and maximize sales potential. Worked directly with clients to achieve their goals. Instigated PDF proofing system for clients who were delighted with the quick turnaround.

Member of small team that designed and produced up to 400 textbook pages per week for dozens of children's middle school history and science textbooks.

Held two positions simultaneously: Production Designer & Creative Designer, performing organizational, e-production, and creative roles. Created and produced daily newspaper ads and direct mail pieces using QuarkXPress, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop on a Mac. Performed pre-flight and quality control of nearly 800 ad and catalog pages/month ensuring trouble-free files were sent to newspapers, magazines, and printers. Two-time winner Marketing award for outstanding achievement.

Art Director of insurance industry related publisher. Each month I designed and produced flagship monthly 88-132 page, 4-color trade publication, performed pre-flight of materials sent to printer. Also produced books, contract newsletters, circulation and marketing materials. Highly organized with ability to prioritize projects. Never missed a publishing deadline.Was also Art Department Manager where I effectively managed employees, supervised freelancers, and wrote department budget. Successfully negotiated with vendors to reduce costs by 23% (about $12,000 annually) and contribute to company's double-digit growth.
