CurrentI worked as process engineer, configuration manager, quality manager, and communications manager for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission on numerous engagements: two content management initiatives, a financial management initiative, a time and labor initiative, a funds execution initiative, and five authentication and credentialing services initiatives.As a process engineer, I led change by developing, customizing, piloting, promoting, and institutionalizing development management, configuration management, quality management, communication management, and risk management processes.As configuration manager, I established the domain, identified the artifacts that make up the elements, and established baselines of configuration items. I managed the resolution and deployment of individual changes and the associated modified element artifacts. I facilitated process audits, change audits, and delivery audits. I collected, processed, maintained, and published configuration management data. And, I defined strategies for the adoption of configuration management frameworks.As quality manager, I involved stakeholders in identifying quality items, defining the associated quality objectives, and developing acceptance criteria. I applied the plan-do-check-act (PDCA) cycle to identify process improvement opportunities, to evaluate each process change, to measure its effectiveness, and to institutionalize the change into the documented process. I wrote style guides, guides on selecting performance metrics, and guides for quality tools. I established, collected data for, and reported on quality performance metrics.As communication manager, I wrote, supervised production of, and managed distribution and publication of training courses, brochures, Web sites, articles, bulletins, posters, call-waiting messages, advertisements, announcements, and surveys. And, I coordinated live demonstrations, mailbox support, help desk support, and support for human point-of-presence.
