Reporting to the TelecityGroup International Ltd Finance Managers and the Head of Tax & Treasury, my main responsibilities included Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Treasury Management.• Improved accuracy of the billing and enhanced TelecityGroup’s customer relationships, contributing to the company being able to cut costs and improve turnover from £7.6M in 2004 to £9.7M in 2005. This was in spite of the reduction in the finance team from 6 to 4, which required me assuming the sales ledger tasks in Netherlands, Germany and Italy.• Improved the multi-currency treasury reporting process so that interest was paid correctly on company loans without incurring penalties and also improved relationships with the four major banks. • Concisely and accurately reported details of multi-region, multi-currency cash balances and surplus cash flow, which resulted in the company not requiring an overdraft facility. This enabled stakeholders to make strategic financial decisions for the company.• Initiated a spreadsheet to track sales information, which improved data analysis and significantly reduced the errors that had occurred in the manual system. Importantly enhancing customer relationships because of invoice accuracy.• Identified and researched new accounting software options, as the existing software was no longer optimal. After buy-in from the management team, accomplished an aggressive target of six months managing the transition to a new accounting package - SAGE 300. I was responsible for the design and layout of customised templates and 1-2-1 training of colleagues. The project was kept on track and the go-live target date was achieved.
