Pam Giblin is a partner in the Austin office of Baker Botts. She has practiced environmental law for over 30 years and has had extensive experience in advising clients on a broad array of environmental issues, particularly in the area of air quality. She is listed in the Environmental Law section of The Best Lawyers in America and is the first woman to receive the Distinguished Lawyer Award from the Travis County Bar Association. She is ranked as a "Star Individual" in Chambers and is the President-elect of the American College of Environmental Lawyers. Ms. Giblin, whose maternal grandfather was one of the signers of the Mexican Constitution and a former Mayor of Mexico City, has lived in Mexico and South America and is fluent in Spanish.Early in her career Ms. Giblin served as General Counsel of the Texas Air Control Board and chaired the first City of Austin Commission on Electric Rates. She is a frequent speaker at seminars and conferences on environmental law issues. She has served on the Federal Clean Air Act Advisory Committee, a diverse group that advises EPA on national air quality issues. Ms. Giblin has been active in the Austin community and served on the Board of Mexic-Arte Museum, one of four Hispanic museums in the country. She is also a member of the Board of Trustees for the Seton Healthcare Network.
