I am an experienced, efficient and effective collaborative family law lawyer and mediator with a peacemaking practice. With over 28 years of experience in general civil and family litigation, I am well versed in all aspects of trial practice and know that a courtroom is no place to resolve family disputes. In my practice, I help people to craft the best solutions for themselves and their families; solutions that judges do not have the freedom or flexibility to order. I thrive on helping people solve problems constructively and creatively. As a trained and certified mediator I have the ability to collaboratively solve problems and understand differing viewpoints and competing interests. I have experience and expertise in civil, family and appellate mediation.Prior to embarking on peacemaking full time, I spent 8 years working for the Fifth District Court of Appeal, the last four of them as the Clerk of Court. This experience makes me particularly qualified to do appellate work, which I also enjoy when not working with families.
