Profile bio

About Pam Murphy, Psyd

I have worked at the intersection of behavioral health and information technology since 2011. After 20+ years doing clinical work as a licensed psychologist, I moved into the tech world to collaborate on digital behavioral health projects. I've enjoyed building websites, mobile apps, and online courses for military members, veterans, first responders, and their families. These often unsung-heroes deserve our innovation and energy to provide quality resources that can help them withstand and flourish within the challenges of their professional lives. I've been fortunate to work on some amazing projects over the past 14 years. I was on the initial implementation team for the award-winning Military Kids Connect website, the first of its kind for military children and teens facing a parent’s deployment. More recently, I served as a subject matter expert on the MaxImpact project, a mobile app for veterans with a traumatic brain injury. Currently I enjoy being on a highly collaborative team building resilience-based mobile apps and trainings for first responders. I also continue my work with the military as a content strategist and consultant on various tech projects.

Behavioral Health Senior Subject Matter Expert And Content Strategist

Current

Menard, Texas, United States

After a short hiatus and move back to Texas, I re-joined TIAG initially part-time to work on a new project building mobile apps and training for First Responders around resilience and mental wellness. Subsequent to our work at the National Center for Telehealth and Technology, TIAG wanted to apply that same technology and behavioral health expertise to the First Responder community. The mResilience project was the result. I wear various hats for "mRes" as part of providing behavioral health oversight on the project. I translate behavioral health concepts into project requirements. Together with colleagues, I research, write and manage content for the mRes mobile application. I created a companion training program and train First Responders on overall resilience-building strategies with the app. I co-led a pilot study of the training and mobile app, along with helping out with social media marketing of the mResilience program. In addition to mResilience, I am fortunate to work on a variety of other projects at TIAG. I provided clinical expertise and wrote content for a traumatic brain injury mobile app for the Veteran community, MaxImpact. I provide content management and consultation for the ArmyFit website through the Army Resilience Directorate (ARD) and coordinate outreach efforts for several websites at the Consortium for Health and Military Performance (CHAMP).
