This was a prn position providing general newborn care as well as attendance at deliveries. Care included, but not limited to initial stabilization at delivery, initial newborn medications, IV medication & fluid therapy, bili light therapy, hearing screenings, supplemental feedings and monitoring as needed.

I was employed as a staff nurse/charge nurse for Pediatrics, but also provided supplemental care in the newborn and special care nurseries as well as supplemental staffing in the ER and medical surgical areas. Care included medication administration, IV therapy, monitoring and stabilization. Disease processes included, but not limited to, RSV, pneumonia, ftt, gastroenteritis, post op management, and asthma.
