Performance monitoring and program development for 10-agency prevention provider network focused on youth and community development. Included media advocacy, creating an online reporting database, outcome evaluation design and implementation and conducting training for professionals and youth. Co-developer of Youth Empowered for Success, a Teen Institute-based project in 25 Southern Arizona high schools with a goal of training and coaching youth in personal development and creating community in their schools. Wrote program manuals for YES Teen Institute and YES School-Change Process, and an instructional manual for the Prevention Accountability System I designed. Developed and led professional and community trainings in resiliency, Developmental Assets, group facilitation, "Introduction to Prevention," and other topics.

Helped write federal grant for and developed initiative (part of Mayor's School District Action Task Force and led by Metropolitan Education Commission). Developed and provided training, coaching and support to staff and parents at 17 partner schools for project to build resilience-supporting school environments. Included organizing community-wide annual conference on resiliency with national speakers and annual two-day training for educators on resiliency. Also media advocacy, developing website content and producing and distributing a bi-weekly e-newsletter. Staff supervision, report and grant writing, project evaluation and developing and conducting trainings and workshops for the community.

Developed and coordinated a comprehensive, community- and school-based youth development/substance abuse and suicide prevention program based on resiliency research and Developmental Assets. Supervised staff, wrote reports and grant proposals, designed and conducted program evaluation. Also gave presentations on suicide prevention and other topics and conducted life-skills and support groups, trainings and workshops. Developed, wrote, implemented and evaluated the "Positive Paths" life skills/suicide prevention curriculum, based on Positive Psychology, for the state of Arizona.

Envisioned/created/implemented a project for Southern Arizona children to send best wishes to those affected by the Oklahoma City bombing, in partnership with the Arizona Daily Star. Received Catholic Community Services' "Employee of the Year" award.Individual and small-group counseling focused on life skills and art and play therapy. Created and facilitated family grief-support group.

Duties included writing feature and news articles, editing others' copy, informal coaching, staff supervision, page design. Topics covered included children's issues (going directly to youth for their opinions) and music (rock, alternative & Americana). Co-developer & co-editor of the Star's original entertainment and lifestyle tab, "Starlight." Developer of Star's original TV magazine.
