As Tourism Sales Manager for Huntsville/Madison County, I have the privilege to promote our beautiful city and region to tour operators, meeting planners, travel agents, families and individuals to encourage them to visit and enjoy all our area has to offer. Promotion tasks include attending appointment tradeshows and exhibitions, serving as our CVB liason to membership-based travel organizations, sales blitzs, email and direct mail campaigns, social media, print ad selection and design, presentations and media conferences, and guest spots on radio and television. Also in this role, I have planned and implemented community projects such as the annual Huntsville Restaurant Week, the Lucky Duck Scavenger Hunt, and the digital walking tour of downtown historic district. A the Educational Escapes Coordinator, I assist groups and tour operators in facilitating student/youth group travel into the Huntsville/Madison County area. I maintain the www.educationalescapes.org website. I serve as the liaison to the City of Madison Chamber of Commerce and City Council. My latest endeavor is blogging for our CVB blog ihearthsv.com.

Interconnect Systems provides business telephony equipment including phone systems, voice mail and data nertworking. Trained in sales and as a technician, I coordinated and implemented the installation of the systems. I met with customers to discuss their needs and goals, served as a liason with dialtone providers, configured the purchased equipment, wrote and performed the programming, coordinated the on-site installation and training and conducted follow up.

After being a Space Academy counselor and working in individual reservations from 1991 until 1995, I became the Space Camp/Aviation Challenge Group Coordinator. I was responsible for booking all of the groups (domestic and interantional) visiting any of the week-long Space Camp, Space Academy and Aviation Challenge programs.
