Pam Allyn is a world-renowned speaker, award-winning author, curriculum creator, innovator and founder, helping parents, caregivers, and educators raise and teach successful learners. She is an education leader, creating and scaling ideas for childhood learning that reach millions of young people.Pam is the author of 27 books. Both books are published by Penguin/RandomHouse (Avery).Pam is the founder and creator of many programs that have changed the lives of children and their families, including World Read Aloud Day, celebrated the first Wednesday of every February in over 60 countries; LitCamp, the renowned summer school program helping children learn to read and write with a “summer leap”, and MathCamp, both published by Scholastic. Pam is a co-author on ReadyGen, published by Pearson, used by districts nationwide to successfully increase reading skills and with Dr. Ernest Morrell, author of Mindscapes, from Zaner-Bloser.Pam founded LitWorld in a partnership model with women-led grassroots organizations in the US and around the world. Her company, LitLife, founded with her husband Jim Allyn, has developed and shared best practices for literacy educators for 20 years. Pam launched her first startup, Books for Boys, a program to bring books and love of reading to children living in foster care, while she was still in high school. It thrives and flourishes today at The Children's Village under the name Open Door (the name changed once girls joined). She founded Dewey, her edustartup, to bridge the gaps between home and school with new and exciting products for today’s learners.Pam is an experienced strategist for companies of all sizes, guiding them in the arena of education to connect fruitfully with customers through a strong knowledge base of what will connect with schools and families.
