Patrice Mangin is Vice-President Innovation & Development at H2 V Energies which is building a massise hydrogen production plant in Bécancour (Quebec) from biomass supply. Up to December 31, he is professor at the management department of University of Québec in Trois-Rivières (UQTR). He is also the CEO of BioEnergy La Tuque (BELT) whose main objective is to build the first Canadian large scale biorefinery to convert harvest forests residues into renewable fuels (around 1 Billion $ CAD project). He is a member of the Innovations Institute in Ecomaterials, Ecoproducts, and Ecoenergy, bio-economy/bioenergy industry, an industrial chair holder, and an associate member of the Hydrogen Research Institute (IRH). He is cochair of the AQPER (Quebec Association for the Production of Renewable Energy) bioenergies committee,. He holds a Ph.D. in process engineering from Institut National Polytechnique (INP) of Grenoble and an engineering degree from PAGORA, INP. He demonstrates over 45 years experience of a successful track record in the forest products, paper and printing industries. He presently works on 2 billion $ projects (H2V and BELT) and has previously managed projects up to 300 M$ CAD.
