Responsible for the day to day operations of the business and human resource functions for a private for profit social service organization. We have two locations, Redding and Chico, with over 100 employees who provide service to 500+ families and children.

Responsibilities included but were not limited to: planning, development, grant writing, program implementation and evaluation of all network projects; reviewing health policy and providing impact analysis for clinic services and finances; the appointment and performance of all network staff; development and implementation of a public relations program for the marketing and promotion of community health center services in five counties; developing polices and procedures for financial systems, developing the organizational budget and managing financial operations. Led the board of directors through development for the initial strategic plan and secured $3M in funding for plan implementation. Reporting to the board of directors, and in tandem with the medical director, I was responsible for the development, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient programs and services; implementation of Board policies on contracting and finances; development, implementation and revision of agency financial policies and procedures to assure compliance to funder’s (state, federal and private) guidelines; preparation and management of all grants and contracts; development and management of the organizational budget; responsible for clinic permits and licensure compliance, relating to all clinical and staff processes; accounts receivable and accounts payable; and coordination and preparation of materials for board meetings and board meeting minutes. Major accomplishments in the field:Revived the failing health center; Negotiated payment contracts with Department of Health Services; Qualified the health center for federal designation; and recruited top local physician for Medical Director.
