Managed aspects of the qualification of flip-chip packaging at Amkor Technology’s facility in Taiwan. Assisted in underfill development and cleaning process improvement transfer from our facility to theirs. Led a team working to qualify an organic package, including test chip development, characterization, and new processes for assembly.Major accomplishment: Patent awarded for flip-chip cleaning improvement, 12/2001.

Major responsibilities: Sustained production and provided new process development in ICBD’s semiconductor manufacturing fab and in semiconductor packaging. Participated in and provided leadership for improvement taskforces. Implemented process control improvements, including data collection and management, process development, and equipment maintenance. Worked with maintenance team on equipment troubleshooting. Provided support for operations staff, including training and documentation.
