Lasso Safe and I are passionate about protecting athletes and creating a more sustainable, prosperous sporting community. As founder and CEO, I lead Lasso Safe’s non-profit global coalition to merge new technology with over 13 years of research. Together, we transform the safeguarding approach from reactive abuse reporting to proactive athlete wellness monitoring. We address a serious and widespread issue in sports, fostering safer, happier, and legally compliant sporting communities. I am a guest lecturer on athlete wellness for universities and schools, including the University of Toronto and Mira Mesa College, and my curriculum can be found in teacher trainings.Prior to Lasso Safe, I authored Beyond Exercise - a biomechanics-based story telling of athletic performance, founded a biomechanics performance center (with an emphasis on neuromechanics), coached Olympians and Olympic-hopefuls throughout three countries and consulted at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. As the lead policy writer, I currently sit on Lunas Tsoros Ranch's board - a San Diego-based nonprofit for youth trauma Survivors. Born in Virginia, I spent most of my life in San Diego. I am currently residing in Naples, FL with my family where you can usually find us paddle boarding, swimming or volunteering for the local Beans and Rice Drive.
