Implemented Smartsheet portfolio project management tracking and reporting system for the Office of Information Technology Services. Programmed a robot to transport the trash to a designated pick up location, detect pick up, and return home on a schedule. Inspired by the need of my own parents and other individuals whose health and safety are at risk performing this task. Saw opportunity to serve frequent travelers and others who may not be available on the scheduled days to retain their use of garbage pick up without advertising not being home. Envisioned reducing fuel usage and noise by improving pick up efficiencies in neighborhoods by having robots bring trash cans to a central collection area.

Performed Independent Validation and Verification (IV&V) activities for the Florida Child Support Enforcement (CSE) project, CSE Automated Management System (CAMS). Contributed to CAMS success by identifying the most value-added areas for improvement. Attended project meetings, wrote summaries for IV&V colleagues, and contributed to quarterly and interim IV&V reports.

Developed project tracking database and other office automation tools for Regional Information Management Center at the United States Embassy in Moscow, Russia. Customized tools for the United States Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq. Performed basic technical support for individuals and small business in Crawfordville, FL.

Deputy Project Manager in the Information Systems Project Management Office for the Florida Department of Children and Families. Managed the project to develop and implement a Web based project performance tracking and reporting application. Utilized earned value analysis to track and report project status. Developed templates and macros to make project tracking and reporting consistent and efficient for internal and external stakeholders (including state and federal government agencies). Developed and conducted project management training.

Responsible for building the infrastructure to enable credit card statement generation in-house. This project included: developing document generation programs, defining printer and archival requirements, identifying possible vendors, designing and evaluating the proof of concept, preparing recommendation with detailed analysis of options and cost for upper management, writing successful implementation requirements, developing an acceptance test plan for the contract, and working with the vendor to install, test, and train users on the software suite. Managed the Fulfillment Development Department that programs customer correspondence packages such as welcome letters, account agreements, and credit card statements. Responsible for training new developers on bank processes, coding techniques in FoxPro and WordPerfect, testing procedures and data analysis. Managed four direct reports: three programmers and one project manager.
