I love to focus on the bright side! A grab my bag and go kind of gal. I've had the opportunity to wear many hats over the years and have a myriad of knowledge and experience. With the impact of the recent pandemic and the reality of losing my job with KTG, I was given the choice to pivot and once again reinvent my life. Relocating to my hometown of Lexington, Ky, and returning to UK to learn new skills and add a degree in Integrated Strategic Communication to my long list of tricks, was a dream come true! Graduating at the top of my class Summa Cum Laude was the icing on the cake of my WILDcat experience! I have extensive knowledge of the insurance industry, including, individual and group health, life and dental as well as property and casualty. My former career as a chef lends a keen understanding of the food and hospitality industry. My first career with the family business allowed for life in the retail arena. Working as Director of the Kentucky Travel Guide sent me on a journey within the tourism and publishing industry giving me a few years of first-hand experience with digital media, ISC, copywriting, graphic design, logistics, and the ins and outs of the challenges small businesses face every day. My philosophy for life is to practice what I call "love-forward" living, with compassion and kindness for all. Currently and for the last six years, I've been a self-employed member of the "Gig" economy, representing InstaCart, DoorDash, Uber, and Deliver That/EZ Cater. This helped support me during college and while I search for my next great career. Being intentional about putting my best foot forward and having an attitude of gratitude are my superpowers.
