Voracious magazine reading at an early age, starting as a young child with Highlights and its “What’s Wrong With This Picture” section and continuing as a teenager with the fashion issues of New York magazine, undoubtedly shaped the editing career I have today. Newspapers will always be a great love of mine, but numerous freelance opportunities over the last 20-plus years have also allowed me to branch out into a wide range of media, including magazine, advertisement, website, book, catalog, and brochure copyediting and proofreading. I am dedicated to perfection and passionate about my job, whether it involves correcting typos like “which” hazel, rewording a paragraph, writing an engaging headline, simplifying a caption or removing antiquated “dumb” quotes. In addition, meeting deadlines is a responsibility I take very seriously. A dyed-in-the-wool Mac user, InCopy and the BLOX Content Management System are my daily go-to programs.
