I discovered my passion for education many years ago while volunteering to teach at an education program instituted by Shore-Up. The director of the program noticed my passion and suggested I attend the local community college for formal training. I enrolled part-time in Wor-Wic Community College in September of 2008 and received an Associate Degree in Computer Studies in May of 2012. I then enrolled in the University of Maryland University College where I received a Bachelor Degree in Digital Media, and Web Design in May of 2018 and a Master Degree in Distance Education and Online Learning in May of 2018.I am excited about the direction online learning is taking. It is assisting underprivileged youth with getting the same education as youths that come from affluent areas. I love teaching young people to think for themselves, to research and find answers to their questions and how to make better-informed decisions.My greatest pleasure comes from serving the Lord. I assist the Pastor and his wife and the congregation with a back to school event that supplies over 100 students with a bookbag filled with supplies. We also do a drive for needed items for the battered women’s shelter, a blanket drive for the needy, a jean drive. In my spare time, I enjoy being outdoors with my six grandchildren, swimming, and gardening. In my garden, I grow Teaching Specialties:Microsoft Office, OpenOffice, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Premier Pro.
