Strategy and operational lead, owning the strategy design and tactical planning process while coaching team members to get projects completed according to scope, timeline and budget. The director reports to the principal, and oversees a team of account leads and account coordinators while maintaining the overall operation of the agency.Core responsibilities:- Completes project scope/plan and budget in advance of client onboarding- Owns the strategic planning process, including creating strategic plans for new accounts and overseeing quarterly tactical plans- Collaborating and guiding new account onboarding and strategy design; delegating and onboarding team to new accounts- Establishes workback schedules and ensures all deliverables are completed on budget and on time, holding team accountable at all times- Mentors, trains, and coaches account leads and account coordinators to success- Runs weekly meetings, strategic planning meetings, and other internal and externalmeetings according to workback schedules- Develops partnerships with outside contractors, vendors and agencies as required- Maintains strong client and internal communications, ensuring expectations are managed and met- Reviews deliverables prior to sending to client for approval, as needed- Assists with internal brand positioning, marketing and business development, including potential new client meetings, and estimate and proposal creation- Provides relief for principal when required, and acts as a support when needed- Other duties and special projects as assignedDaily business operations- Human resources: New team member onboarding, training plan development and oversight, three-month probationary reviews, annual performance reviews, personal development planning, training + development budgets, ongoing mentorship and coaching- General tactical consult: Coaching where needed to drive account results and team performance
