Na 25 jaar IT Change Manager is het goed geweest. Ik ben op weg naar volledig pensioen en bereid me daar nu op voor. Geen geraniums: lk blijf mentaal en fysiek fit als part-time fietskoerier, knap mijn appartement op en ga weer reizen. De geograaf blijft, de IT niet.De historie:After finishing my study in Geography I have chosen to switch from a future as teacher to work in IT organisations. 30+ years in top IT departments provide a wealth of experience regarding organizing IT and quality management in IT. With the introduction of Lean, Agile, DevOps and Continuous Delivery the way of working with ITIL processes is adopted and will have to be adopted to upcoming new technologies and practices. What makes me running the extra mile is to stimulate engineers to explore process improvement possibilities resulting in better performance and higher job satisfaction.And the teacher? He was there to: process development (content), process documentation, process reporting, process training and support, process improvement, it sounds different but it is partly similar to educate staff members on the job and stimulate them to improve. The experience is based on several jobs within large scale and complex IT organisations , e.g. 20 years within ING and recently in AholdDelhaize. Being a former Enterprise Process Owner Change Management I supported large and small organisations (e.g. ING NL&BE, Turkey, ING France, ING Russia) within the global ING organisation in applying and improving ITIL processes in the past and now supporting them in moving towards Agile and Continuous Delivering practices with simplified ITIL processes using technology to replace process steps to reduce the effort and time waste.The previous education, training and experience within ING provides an excellent skilled ITSM process manager for IT organisations transitioning towards new ways of working. Currently this is what I am doing at the new established Global Support Office within hold Delhaize group.Skills: leadership, organisation sensitivity, communicative, convincing, motivating staff, conceptual (out of the box) thinking, translating strategy to implementation, trainer, teacher.Formal education: UVA Social Geography; ITIL/ITSM Service Management
