About Pam Uzzell

Since my first film production class in college, I have been passionate about my career as a Creative Producer, Director, Podcaster, Storyteller, and Filmmaker. After finishing my bachelor’s degrees in French Literature and Modern Culture & Media at Brown University, I went on to complete my MFA degree in Cinema at San Francisco State University. Since 2012, I’ve been actively involved in creative production, direction, and hosting of podcasts, feature-length and short documentaries, and corporate training/marketing videos.Some of my accomplishments include: • Produce and host an award-winning podcast (Communicator Award of Distinction) with an international reach.• Produced and directed documentary films broadcast on PBS stations KQED in California and Arkansas PBS.• Produced and directed a short film that won Grand Festival Award at Berkeley Video & Film Festival.• Produced and directed a film that one Best Documentary at Arkansas Independent Black Film Festival.• Directed diversity & inclusion training videos used by Microsoft for their employee training.• Produced high quality promotional, marketing, and educational materials for several small businesses.As a creative storyteller, I am committed to sharing history that has been left out or is in danger of being forgotten, amplifying voices in communities and populations that have historically been underrepresented, engaging audiences from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, and building awareness of social justice issues. I am passionate about sharing the work and stories of artists who create work that heals and builds community. In addition, I enjoy leading, mentoring, and motivating others; facilitating teamwork; and working collaboratively with creative teams.
