    I have been working on colorectal cancer prevention using dietary approaches. I have used genetically-modified mouse models and chemical-induced mouse models to study the mechanisms of the development and progression of colorectal cancer. I have also used multiple molecular techniques to investigate the potential effects of dietary supplements on the development of colorectal cancer. I have also been working on acute intestinal graft-versus-host disease. I have experience with bone marrow transplanted mouse model and transplantation immunology.• Designed and optimized research projects to investigate molecular mechanisms underlying the immune responses during acute gastrointestinal graft-versus-host diseases• Led and executed research projects to determine the beneficial effects of dietary approaches on the development and progression of colorectal cancer and pancreatic cancer• Characterized and developed in vivo mouse models and implemented flow cytometer to measure the population/function of immune cells• Collaborated with physicians and CRAs to conduct a clinical trial of investigating the effects of berries on patients with myelodysplastic syndrome• Supervised and trained undergrad students, visiting scholars, and technicians in study design and bench-work techniques• Wrote and published 18 first-author papers including 11 research articles and 7 reviews• Presented 8 posters at national conferences, including AACR and AAI Annual Meetings
