About Panagiota Bouti, Ph.D
I joined Cell Press in February 2024 as an Associate Scjentific Editor for Developmental Cell and the Cross-journal team. I am still highly interested in the field of Cancer biology and Immunotherapy and in my current role I jointly handle papers with multidisciplinary scopes at Developmental Cell and help authors finding the best home for their manuscript at the transfer team.As a Postdoctoral Researcher, I worked towards advancing the field of cancer immunotherapy, especially in the areas of monoclonal antibody therapy, checkpoint blockade, and innate immunity. My publications and awards demonstrated my expertise, contribution, and dedication to this field.During my PhD (UvA), I focused on the mechanisms of neutrophil-mediated tumor cell killing and the role of SIRPα-CD47 and SIGLEC-sialic acid interactions in modulating this process. I also have a Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences, with a specialization in Infection and Immunity, from the UvA.
