Producing and monitoring Bank’s and subsidiaries’ budget, measuring and assessing performance multi-dimensionally across the Group. The main responsibilities include:• Developing the annual budget in alignment to the business plan and assuring its feasibility at Unit level on granular target basis comprising performance contracts.• Monthly monitoring, Budget control and mitigating action planning when needed, and drafting quarterly rolling forecast based on the actual financial data.• Custodian of the performance management framework (Value Based Management system), updating and calibrating rules and allocation mechanisms, deriving KPIs on Business Unit, product, client and channel basis.

Contributing to product development and management of multi asset and multi manager portfolios worth >€1bn, together with risk oversight. The following is a sample of engagement and activities:• Conducting the investment strategy, overlaying macro findings with bottom-up investment proposals, collaborating with the Departments Heads (Equity, Fixed Income, Fund of Funds).• Organising and introducing investment research/strategy/themes, asset allocation proposals to the investment committees.• Communicating asset allocation and investment & product strategy with Alpha Bank’s distribution channels (RMs from Private and Mass Affluent banking) and institutional clients.• Outlining investment findings, economic assessment and global banking developments to Alpha Bank’s management.• Member of the company Board of Directors.

Overseeing global/regional/thematic equity investment funds comprising department’s area of responsibility; continuous review of policies, procedures and systems utilised.• Planning and coordinating investment research functions and assessing model portfolio recommendations.• Monitoring and safeguarding the efficient execution of the investment management functions (analysis, investment, trading and settlement).• Providing guidelines to Fund Managers, allocating the workload for the effective implementation of the investment strategy.• Assessing performance, directing training and development of staff.• Researching and exploring the opportunities for development of new products.

As an analyst, involved in:o equity research and mandated with banking sector analysiso credit analysis, and fair price modellingo portfolio optimisation and asset allocation modelling. Allocated with two Greek Equity Funds – managed on the premises of fundamental research – the responsibilities included:o daily performance of cash, trading, execution, reporting, and reconciliation activities, and monitoring of the relevant investment developmentso ensuring compliance with investment guidelines and risk limitso contributing to the product strategy communication and marketing.

Planning and banking development, off-site oversight of the banking sector and supervisory alignment with the EU framework and developments. Responsibilities included:• Evaluation of licence applications for the establishment of credit institutions in Greece.• European Central Bank Working Group on Developments in Banking member, contributing with data and analysis, covering a wide range of aspects (EMU effects, Information Technology, Income structure, M&As), and performing ad hoc presentations.• Monitoring the development of quantitative techniques/tools for risk management (VaR models, credit derivatives) and contributed to the transposition of capital adequacy regulation to the Greek legislation.• Participated in the Working Party on Economic Questions (e-money) of the European Union Council.
