About Pan Demosthenous

As founder and CTO of Move 37 I'm working at the cutting edge of research and development in natural language processing, semantic understanding and knowledge representation using deep learning and related technologies.Earlier in my career I led the development of some of the UK's most popular sports, news and entertainment apps for millions of users with Sky, and went on to launch an original real-time sports companion game with my first startup, Superlive.

The mobile applications my teams developed at Sky UK had been downloaded more than 10 million times by the end of my tenure, and were being used by millions of people every week. The Sky News iPhone app itself won a Royal Television Society Innovation Award and our direct to consumer Mobile TV service on the iPhone was the first commercial product of its kind. Across other devices and platforms, I managed the development of applications for Android and also a major re-platforming and relaunch of Sky's mobile web sites. These now attract over 10 million page impressions monthly. I have also managed development and led major projects in interactive TV, delivering solutions that have supported some of the UK's biggest television events including The X Factor and Big Brother, as well as innovations in interactive advertising, gaming and customer self service.
