Mr. Pankaj Mohindroo is the Chairman of the India Cellular & Electronics Association (ICEA), the apex industry body representing the entire electronics sector in India with a special focus on the development of mobile handsets and its component eco-system.Mr. Mohindroo has had an excellent academic record having topped the university twice. He did his MBA from FMS, University of Delhi. He has a distinguished career spanning over three and a half decades during which he served in various Global and Indian industries including Sugar, Food, Telecom, Information Technology, Retailing, Media & Broadcasting, DTH, International Trading, Infrastructure (Industrial Parks, Port Infrastructure), Steel, Woolen Knitwear, Textiles, Personal Care, Oleo-Chemicals, Paints, Pigments and Dyes etc. Mr. Mohindroo has been strenuously supporting the Government of India’s vision to establish India as the Global manufacturing HUB for Electronics and Components ecosystem in sync with the “Make in India” and “Digital India” initiatives.His vision to support manufacturing to cater to the growing requirements of India and the world with a strong focus on exports are well received and acknowledged with strong commitments by the Indian Government and industry stakeholders from various geographies. His first and foremost objective is to establish India as a global hub for electronics manufacturing by achieving USD 300 Billion production by 2026. Mobile phone manufacturing will be the major contributor by raising mobile phone production in India from the current USD 30 Billion to USD 120 Billion by 2026.Mr. Mohindroo is also a successful entrepreneur donning many caps on his entrepreneurial successes starting with the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of My Mobile Info Media, which is India’s oldest Magazine focused on mobile handsets and its eco-system and many others. Mr. Mohindroo is also an Angel Investor in several technology startups. He has now taken up the challenge of Agritech i.e., the use of Electronics, Information Technology and Software in Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Aquaculture etc. He is the Chairman of Spring Agro Industries Limited, Ghana, which is a large agriculture and agro-processing project.Mr. Mohindroo is the Co-founder and Hon. Secretary of Telecom Sector Skill Council (TSSC). He is also the Founder and Honorary Secretary of Mobile and Electronic Devices Export Promotion Council (MEDEPC), Member of Governing Council of Central Manufacturing Technology Institute (CMTI) and the Member for the Board of Trade (BOT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
