BOM Reviews and NPD Assistance : Providing support to design engineers to perform component research and participate in component life cycle and evaluate all components for various Carrier BUs. Monitoring, identifying and resolving all lifecycle issues and assisting various teams to identify appropriate resources and substitutes for components.Risk Mitigations : End-of-Life(EOL) and Obsolescence monitoring by proactive and reactive approach, RoHS, REACh, Material declaration of components, , New part number request, Bill of Material (BOM) generation, BOM Costing analysis, Through hole to SMT replacements, Component selection as per design requirements, Component qualification, First Article Approval, Finding Form Fit Function alternate components for obsolete, high lead time, cost effectiveness etc.Product Regulatory compliance assessment : Latest Product Regulatory compliance assessment ( EU RoHS, China RoHS, REACH SVHC, Hazardous material assessment, California Prop-65, etc.). Upadating Carrier component database with latest changes in regulatory compliances like RoHS 2.1, SVHC updates in every 6 months etc.Cost Containment Activities : Working on Cost Containment Project in reduction of product cost while working on low cost alternate component by localization of supplier, testing of suggested alternates etc.Reliability Prediction : perform reliability modeling and predictions (including MTBF calculations) in Windchill Quality Solutions.Maintain Approved Vendor List (AVL). Issue Engineering Change Orders (ECO’s), Manufacturing Change Orders (MCO’s) and Deviations. Review and address Product Change Notices (PCN’s) from component manufacturers.

• Provide technical support to the business to effect product cost savings through the execution of Value Engineering and Value Analysis practices in a timely manner, supporting the business Profit Plan objectives.• Investigate and troubleshoot issues, coordinates all work within the scope and ensure projects objectives are met.• Responsible for designs of technical components and or systems by providing analytical services so that designers can take right decisions to satisfy market needs. Work on global projects along with CoE team and provide mentoring.• Working on Siemen’s Team Center PLM tool to manage the life cycle status of parts and integrating different Business Units parts from different SAPs into one database using Siemen’s PLM tool Team Center and one Global SAP.• Predict, specify, and measure product performance and life, produce cost-effective designs or obtain cost effective solutions to resolve issues. Finding the alternates for EOL/Obsolete parts.• Visited Onsite GE, France office to complete the project of integration of different manufacturing plants parts (5K parts) into one Global database “Fusion”.• Obtain, communicate, and include the needs of plants, direct customers, end users, and other functional groups, continuously improve engineering processes, RoHS/REACH-review of existing parts
