In his role as Vice President, Data Science & Analytics and Managing Director, India Innovation, Pankaj is responsible for building and deploying robust Intelligent Data Services that are critical to Pitney Bowes Data Strategy success. Pankaj is focused on creating a Centre of Excellence for Big Data and embedding technology into the domain. He is primarily involved in improving the synergy between the traditional, and advanced Data Science & Analytics Services to develop new functionalities and streamline important data capabilities across Pitney Bowes Ecommerce offerings including trade classification, forecasting, warehouse processing, delivery prediction, and network simulation, to establish an Intelligent Data Services API platform. Pankaj has over two decades of experience and has played a pivotal role in building tech-leadership at Pitney Bowes, with his dynamic and pragmatic technology perspective. He has been a strong advocate of inculcating a collaborative approach across business units towards fostering innovation. As Managing Director – India Innovation, Pankaj will continue to mentor the India Innovation teams across business units while building on-site leadership in Innovation, IT, and TechOps. Pankaj has mentored diverse technology talent into future-ready leaders – his team has been recognized across the organization for their superlative engagement scores for the last five years. Passionate about continuous learning, Pankaj takes an active interest in keeping up with the latest developments in Data Science, DevOps, and Cybersecurity as well as other new technologies. He has been the recipient of the R&D Person of the Year and Voice of the Customers awards at Pitney Bowes. Pankaj’s unique technology and leadership perspectives are often quoted in the media. Pankaj is an alumnus of the prestigious BITS, Pilani, where he earned a Master’s Data Science & Engineering. He is also a graduate in Mathematics (Hons) and holds a Master’s degree in Computer Applications and is certified on Cloudera Hadoop, Scrum Master and Product Owner.
