Pankaj Sakha is a well known name in the field of folk music. He was born in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh of India. His love and passion for music compelled him to learn classical , light as well as folk music and finally he decided to adopt folk music as his singing field and engaged himself for the promotion and preservation of this neglected rich traditional legacy of our country. He is a gifted folk singer and blessed with a voice that is smooth and soulful and an empanelled artist of Ministry of Culture, Festival of India Division. Pankaj Sakha sings Sawan , Jhula Kajri, Chaiti, Hori, Banna - Banni, and wedding songs of various rituals of marriage and Devotional songs.Pankaj Sakha is a versatile singer and well famous personality in North India ,he sings all types of folk songs of Awadhi, Poorvi and Brij lanquage. He performed on various National T.V. channels and many stages of India and abroad.He has written, compose and sung a number of folk songs on Swachata Abhiyan , Environmental awareness and various social and educational awareness issues.For the occasion of the festival of Holi , Pankaj Sakha has design a special program "Phoolo Ki Holi", that covers the various folk styles of Holi use to perform in Brij Mandal.Pankaj Sakha has formed a beautiful professional folk music troupe consisting of singers , musicians and folk dancers.
