Currentβ’ Maintaining firewalls using the tool pfSense and managing IDS and IPS to secure network infrastructure.β’ Implementing virtual private networks (VPNs), remote learning modules, and remote communication methods between staff, students, and parents.β’ Implementing and managing user access controls and identity and access management systems.β’ Monitoring Portland Secondary College network using network monitoring tool Solarwinds.β’ Patching and securing all the hypervisors, hosted services and the devices that are connected to the network.β’ Configuring and maintaining security applications and applying security patches as needed using scripting to automate when required.β’ Setting up, maintaining, configuring and managing Cisco and Unifi equipment such as routers, switches, WLC and WAPs.β’ Root cause analysis of security breaches, malware analysis and incident response.β’ Ensuring that physical and virtual servers are configured in accordance with the guidelines provided by the Department.β’ Maintaining Portland Secondary College's tenants such as Office 365 and cloud security.
